Discovering Nature @ Your Library
Looking for kid-friendly outdoor activities in Huntington County this summer? Huntington City-Township Public Library and the Mississinewa Lake Corps of Engineers invite kids in grades 1 – 6 to Discovering Nature, which begins at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9th at the Main Library in Huntington.
Maggie Kubina, Park Ranger at Mississinewa Lake, will share ideas about hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, camping, and even more outdoor adventures kids can have in Huntington County – as well as what wildlife kids may find while outdoors, and safety tips for each type of activity. There will also be a special guest appearance by a live salamander.
This program is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated, but not required – call the Children’s Department at 356-2900. The HCTPL Main Library is located at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington.
