The Huntington City-Township Public welcomes Dennis Wiegmann, a member of the Huntington Champion Hill Toppers Vintage Base Ball Club at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 18th in the Main Library at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington. Wiegmann will present a program on the history of Baseball, both vintage and modern, and the formation of the Huntington Champion Hill Toppers Vintage Base Ball Club. Other team members may also appear to add their viewpoints on the game.

Formed in 2005, the Huntington Champion Hill Topper’s first game was at Insane Asylum Field against the Indianapolis Hoosiers followed up by the Winona Lakes Blue Laws. The team is a member of the Vintage Base Ball Association whose mission is as follows: “The mission and purpose of the Vintage Base Ball Association shall be to preserve, perpetuate, and promote the game of base ball as it was played during its formative years in the nineteenth century and other historic eras.” To find more information about the Huntington Champion Hill Toppers Vintage Base Ball Club visit their website at http://championhilltoppersbbc.webs.com/ or for more information about Vintage Base Ball, visit http://www.vbba.org/.
