Huntington City-Township Public Library invites young adults in grades 6 – 12 to a Teen Halloween Party at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 30th at the Main Library in Huntington. The fun will begin at 6:30 with Scary Stories, Haunted Book Bingo, Build-Your-Own Ghost Sundaes, and much more. Participants are encouraged to dress up. This teens-only celebration is free and open to anyone ages 12 -18. Registration is a must – please call the HCTPL Main Library at 260-356-2900 to sign up – and be sure to bring all your scary friends! The Main Library is located at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington.
Huntington City-Township Public Library invites pumpkin decorators of all ages to enter our annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest, open to individuals, families, groups, and clubs of all kinds. Between October 18-22, decorated pumpkins may be brought to either branch of Huntington City-Township Public Library. The HCTPL Main Library is located at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington, and the Markle Branch is located at 197 East Morse Street, Markle. Pumpkins should not be carved, but can be decorated with markers, paints, yarn, cloth, hats, or any such item.
On October 23, pumpkins will be judged by our library patrons in the following categories: Funniest, Most Unusual, Most Colorful, Prettiest, Cutest, Scariest, and Best Overall.
Separate winners in each category will be declared at the Main Library and at the Markle Branch Library. Winners will be notified on October 25th.
