Your library and COVID-19

Like you, we are closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19.

We know it is important to have the library open and its services available to the community. At this time, the library is maintaining normal hours of operation, and we will strive to maintain all of our services for as long as we can. Programs will continue as scheduled, with the exception of Paws to Read, which is temporarily on hold.

We are following the recommendations of the Huntington County Health Department, the CDC, and other health professionals. We are assessing the situation day-to-day, hour-to-hour, with the well-being of our patrons and staff our first priority.

Things may change at *any* time.

We are doing our very best to keep the library sanitized and clean. We do still encourage visitors to make use of our hand sanitizer, as well as to wash hands frequently, while in the building.

If you are unable to come to the library in person, our eBook and eAudiobook collection is available on a variety of smartphones, tablets, and eReaders 24/7 at https://nidl.overdrive.com and https://huntingtonin.rbdigital.com.

We will also extend due dates for any borrowed material; call our circulation desk at 260-356-0824 or email ask@hctpl.info and we’ll be happy to take care of this for you.

We will keep you updated as the situation progresses and will make the best decisions we can for the wellness of our patrons and staff.

Thank you!
